Luke Becker is Monmore Green’s first 2023 signing

Having just introduced American international Luke Becker as Wolves’ first signing of 2023, head coach Peter Adams is confident in Becker’s ability to continue his development at Monmore Green.

At the club’s end-of-season awards ceremony on Sunday, Becker was named Rider of the Year.

He was instrumental in the club’s run to the SGB Premiership semi-finals and scored 19 points for the United States in the FIM Speedway of Nations Semi-Final 1 at Vojens in July.

Becker’s performance in 2022 was good enough to have him included to the Speedway GP’s replacements list for 2023, and Adams thinks the Californian is just getting started.

Before returning to the United States, he spoke with promoter Chris Van Straaten, and the two came to an agreement on Luke’s return to the team for the next season.

While we appreciate having Luke as part of the Wolverhampton team, he clearly values his time with us. He’s still getting better and better at this level, and next year should be another breakout one for him.
