Frederik Jakobsen, who signed with the Stars for the 2023 season, praised King’s Lynn for allowing him to make a brief appearance at the close of the 2022 season
MOTORSPORT WORLD CUP : Frederik Jakobsen, After helping Poole win the 2018 SGB Premiership championship in King’s Lynn, the Norfolk club signed Jakobsen on a cheap 5.04 average for his debut UK appearance.
The 24-year-old has been making up for the loss he contributed to giving the Stars four years ago by playing very well in the playoffs.
Despite missing out on the SGB Premiership play-offs this season, the club is already planning their next championship run in 2023, and Jakobsen is the first piece of the team-building jigsaw.
The racer from Ejby is happy to have been picked so late into the season, and he can’t wait to compete again next year.
He expressed his gratitude to the team’s manager, Alex Brady, saying, “Everything has been extremely nice so far and a great thank you must go to Alex (Brady).
It was a gamble to take with just a few months remaining in the current season, but he considered it an investment for next year as well, and I was happy to commit to a manager with such an outlook.
I appreciate the kind reception I’ve received, and I can’t wait to come back and score goals for the Stars next season.
